Description

 Almenara golf course
The three 9 holes courses (Los Pinos, Los Lagos and Los Alcornoques) can be combined into 3 different 18 holes courses. The three courses each have their own character but all share undulating fairways, bunkers, winding streams and water obstacles. The holes are lined with cork or pine trees and the views are stunning. The greens at Almenara are immaculate.

Almenara Reviews

Rating: 3.4 of 5
2012-05-09 - "Unfriendly, not welcoming. The course is fine (Lakes and Acorns) but the overall experience is not great. Poor service, and seriously overpriced food spoiled the it." - Cormac

2012-04-21 - "Outstanding views. Buggy should be included in the price as it is not practical to walk. Service in bar very poor. Pricing in restaurant bad value." - Derh50

2012-02-11 - "The course was very dry which we saw on a lot of courses at the Costa del Sol. We will not play again on this course with a two ball; too many slow four balls (due to the hotel belonging to Almenara?) When we come back it will be with at least 3 players to avoid waiting for others and destroying our own scores." - Max Raaijmakers

2012-01-28 - "Despite the fact it had rained heavily over night and all morning the course was in very good condition and well presented. Greens very good and fast. Very quite. Good contrast of holes to challenge all." - MickyJ

2011-12-04 - "It was a terrible long 18holes. Before us a fourball with no experience. No marshall in the course all day to complain to. No buggies allowed on the course was terrible also. For next time take a trolley and ask who is in front of you. We did 5:30hours for 18 holes" - Hans

2011-10-21 - "The course is not easy but fair, calls for accurate drives and very good putting skills. It is in good shape with quite a few GURs but excellent greens. Very nice setting and scenery. Decent price performance ratio (I booked a special with reduced greenfee including buggy)" - Felix

2011-10-14 - "Almenara is a wonderfully scenic course with some very challenging holes. Use of strokesaver is recommended. This is the 5th time I have played here and I will return. Please note that some buggy paths are very steep and the buggy brakes wopuld not fill you with confidence." - Irish golfer.
