Description
The formerly known Golf de Poniente, now renamed T Golf & Country Club Poniente, a 150 hectares plot, is one of the oldest courses on the island and was designed by John Haqrris in the 70s. This well-known golf architect and designer is also reponsible for other first-class golf courses in Spain, such as Somosaguas, Puerta de Hierro and Vistahermosa. Poniente Golf Club is located 12km south west of Palma in the municipality of Calvia between the luxurious marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano, with fantastic views of the Serra de Tramuntana, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Calvia not only offers a beautiful surronding ofr the golf course, with its numerous baches and coves, but is also one of Spains richest municipalities. A traditional golf course with no pretentions combines with wide fairways, surrounded by a beautiful pine forest that offers large green and a 300-meter flat driving range for up to 100 simultaneous players.
