In a setting of expansive panoramic views across the Bay of Lagos, Robert Trent Jones II has fashioned Europe’s next great golf course, Palmares Golf Resort. The charge given to Robert Trent Jones II was to craft a 27-hole golf course capable of showcasing this extraordinary environment to its fullest. The result is a breath-taking golf course that provides an engaging and fascinating experience. While the physical beauty of Palmares’ setting is prominent, the golf course itself is challenging. Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course with the highest level of international tournament golf in mind as well as a pleasurable golf experience for members and tourists alike. Palmares is composed of three returning nine-hole loops that can be played in any sequence. The genius in the routing is that, depending on the sequence of play, the Palmares golf experience is different. Each nine-hole loop has its own character and ambience. The 3 x nine hole courses are Alvor Course, The Lagos Course and The Praia Course.

2019-05-04 - "We played the Praia followed by the Alvor and a very interesting links type course by the beach followed by a parkland type course. the tees and greens were excellent. However they are developing the clubhouse at present so we missed the fantastic views over the course and to the beach at the 19th." - Lagos 4

2017-03-06 - "Quite a challenging course for mid to high handicappers, but nice to play due to lovely sea views and a real links golf group of holes down by the beach and dunes. The course is very hilly with quite long distances between holes and a buggy is really recommended. There is a wide range of challenges for the player and the conditions demand good tactical play."
