Description

 Mijas Lagos golf course
Mijas Lagos was the first course built at Mijas, it is the longer of the two with 6404 meters and it is named after its seven water hazards. Its greens are wide but countered and well protected bunkers. It could be said that the American designer wanted to present a course especially for amateurs, but at the same time, it can present a challenge for the best players.

Mijas Lagos Reviews

2011-12-04 - "Bunkers were terrible. They were more like concrete than sand. Otherwise the course is excellent for the average golfer."

2011-09-25 - "I have played the course several times - I think it is good value for money playing 2 rounds every sunday. The staff in the restaurant is very service-minded and I eat there every time - VERY GOOD! The course has a big potential especially. You can see that the maintenance is not an everyday thing at your course. The bunkers are terrible - I guess you know this. The tees are not to good either. Greens are ok, but not good, and the fairways are adequate at los lagos and really hard/firm at olivos. I am definitely coming back but looking forward to better bunkers, tees and greens!" - Hans-Peter Dalen

2011-07-15 - "For a person with a handicap of 18 the course is both challenging and forgiving in equal measure." - Antony

2011-06-24 - "Bunkers were very poor. No sand in them. It was like playing on gravel. Some of the greens were covered in bare patches. Course was very busy and no one seemed to be busy pushing the groups in front. We were a 3 ball walking and yet we still caught up with the buggies in front" - Mr H
