La Duquesa golf course
Duquesa golf has many spectacular tees from which you can see the African continent and neighbouring Marbella. Teeing off from the 17th hole will convince you that there are very few courses in which nature and design merge so beautifully. The second 9 holes are by far the better holes.

La Duquesa Reviews

Rating: 2.4 of 5
2016-05-06 - "Very disappointed in the condition of the course, it appears that the club is about to shut-down. Well designed, all good golf holes, but just bad maintenance." - Wally

2016-05-06 - "The course and associated buildings were very tired condition , the greens were good, we ate breakfast before we teed off and the food was of poor quality." - Tom

2013-10-28 - "The course was badly in need of maintenance, buggy was dangerous on the worn buggy paths, with brakes and steering worn. Front 9 depressing with lots of tired looking apartments surrounding the tees and greens, back 9 was better. Fairways generally narrow so easy to lose a ball if not driving straight. Overall disappointing, will not play there again as there are better courses along the coast at the same prices." - The bogeyman

2013-05-09 - "Very Disapointed , this course has been a favourite for years .. the condition of greens and fairways has really changed ...Shame" - Swanny

2013-03-31 - "Fairways need cut. Front nine is waterlogged. Poor brakes on buggy 27. Whole site looks rundown." - Hugo of Hillsboro

2012-11-10 - "We played the course a couple of years ago - That was a good experience. Therefor we came back. The course was absolutely i bad condition - as we could see, not just because of the weather, because other courses we played in the same week, was exellent." - Pihl

2012-09-16 - "In one word: terrible! We played with 6 guys (HcP9-HcP17). We play several times a year and want to play as much as different courses between Malaga and Gibraltar. We played over 30 courses but this one was the worst course by far! OK, it was cheap but you cannot offer this bad quality. We will not come back!!" - Papa has won!

2011-06-19 - "A challenge and a good test of your handicap. Enjoyable and varied. Not a course to walk as it is long and hilly. "

2011-06-07 - "I have played duquesa before , and it was certainly better than this time. The fairways had just been tined and were dreadful. We were also unlucky in that the course was extremely soggy in places and muddy. Generally in poor condition, with no apologies given. I would play this again , but I would certainly enquire about work on the course. Its worth playing for the last par 3 on the back 9!!!" - jen

2011-05-02 - "This was a poor course. Probably very good 20 years ago, but its not really worth the effort. It is a very tired course, and whilst there are some good holes, it is in poor condition."

2011-04-08 - "A cheaper course to play and it shows. Fairways are not always as nice, but the layout of the course is SPECTACULAR! We had a wonderful time here. Tee number 17 must be the signature hole (with a drop of approx. 30 meters). Great, great fun to play this course!" - pitchmark
