Description

 Alcaidesa Links golf course
Alcaidesa Golf Course is the only links course available on the Southern coast of Spain. The views over the mountain of Gibraltar and Africa are breath taking. This can be a challenging course to play in high winds or a gentle and scenic round in calm winds. It is quite an experience either way when playing Alcaidesa.

Alcaidesa Links Reviews

Rating: 4.2 of 5
2012-05-01 - "Staying at the Aldiana Alcaidesa there should be a reasonable reduction on the greenfee which was not the case. Apart from that a wonderful course with a beautiful view at the sea and the Gibraltar Rock, especially from hole no. 5. A buggy is very advisable - without it we had a hard time on the holes no. 8, 9 and 14, when it really goes up the hill. The position of the tees did not match with the distance indicated since the yellow tee used to be where the blue tee should have been and blue and red were close together. Apart from that a beautiful course, very fair and not too difficult to play." - Rosemarie

2012-03-17 - "What a great course to play. Great views as the holes slowly take you down to the coast. Always with Gibraltar in the background. The course plays well and has good variety. I enjoyed myself thorougly."

2011-12-04 - "We har a visit last year. Everything was fantastic. This year the course was badly kept and the buggy very dirty and in bad shape, as was the buggy paths. A lot disturbances from workmen as we were on the course and a lot of waiting to play. On the view was as spectacular as last year." - Butterfly

2011-11-14 - "this is a great looking course with enough variation to keep most golfers interested and if you are playing well a good score is quite possible. The views of Gibraltar make the links part of the course very memorable. They have wasted a lot of money on a big non-user friendly, over priced club house, which used to be perfect." - el torro

2011-09-16 - "Too far west of Marbella. Greens had been hollow-tined and were awful. Place had a very empty feel. Positives; some very good holes and very good scenery"

2011-09-16 - "bad greens - very sandy and lots of holes in it. Ridiculous to ask E 35 for a buggy! Shame on them!" - Max

2011-09-15 - "I loved the course and the views are spectacular I must admit that I think you are a little on the expensive side especially with buggies at 35 euro and the game not exactly sure but more than 60euro making 155 per couple considering we would spen 20euro on petrol. Never the less we had a great time and maybe the price was in our favour as there was no people either behind or in front."
